Information About the Journal

Canadian Law Library Review/Revue canadienne des bibliothèques de droit (CLLR/RCBD) is the only regular publication of the Canadian Association of Law Libraries/Association canadienne des bibliothèques de droit (CALL/ACBD). As such, it is faithfully read by the membership and subscribers for feature articles, association news, and product reviews.

Four times each year CLLR/RBDC is sent free of charge to the approximately four hundred and seventy-five members of CALL/ACBD in all types of Canadian law libraries:

  • Academic 19%
  • Courthouse/Law Society 13%
  • Private/Corporate 38%
  • Government 13%
  • Justice/Attorney General 01%
  • Consultants/Personal 08%
  • Vendors 08%

The readers of CLLR/RBDC make or substantially influence all purchasing decisions for Canadian law libraries.

In addition to the membership, approximately fifty subscribers receive CLLR/RBDC, many of whom are outside Canada.

CLLR/RBDC is partly bilingual. Articles submitted and published in one language are summarized in the other or may be translated and presented in both languages.

Feature articles cover a wide variety of subjects: substantive law; technology as it affects research and librarianship; legal publishing; and research in librarianship and law.

CLLR/RBDC offers advertisers several options and services, including:

  • Black and white or full colour
  • Inserts accepted, allowing advertisers to distribute their own brochures economically
  • Ample advertising space in various sizes.
