The Canadian Association of Law Libraries (CALL) is dedicated to promoting the networking, professional development and career growth of all law librarians in Canada, no matter where they work. We are committed to promoting law librarianship, developing and increasing the usefulness of Canadian law libraries and fostering a spirit of co-operation among them, providing a forum for meetings of persons engaged in or interested in law library work, and co-operating with other organizations that tend to promote the objects of our Association or the interests of our members.

    CALL/ACBD Awards - Nominations Due April 1!

    Denis Marshall Memorial Award for Excellence in Law Librarianship: For a current member of CALL/ACBD who has provided outstanding service to the Association and / or has enhanced the profession of law librarianship in the recent past. 

    Michael Silverstein Prize: Recognizing an outstanding contribution by a CALL/ACBD member to enhancing understanding, analysis and appreciation of primary law or legal taxonomy, in honour of Michael Silverstein. 

    Gisèle Laprise Prize: Recognizing an outstanding contribution to an understanding and appreciation of the civil and common law systems in Canada, in memory of Gisèle Laprise. 

    Nancy McCormack Award: Honouring a CALL/ACBD member in good standing who is normally in the first ten years of their law library career and who has demonstrated the qualities embodied by Nancy. .
