University of Victoria Creates Open Access Modules for AI in Legal Writing

The University of Victoria (UVic) has recently developed the Navigating Legal Research with GenAI: An Open Tutorial Series.

This is a collection of four concise, interactive modules designed to introduce legal researchers to the evolving role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in legal research, and to guide them in using GenAI ethically, responsibly, and critically.

At UVic this has been integrated into the Legal Research and Writing course for 1Ls.

The modules are created using Articulate 360 and are intended as an open educational resource (OER) that can be used and adapted by others.

All four modules are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Please get in touch with lawref@uvic.ca for access to the web or SCORM files which can be integrated into your website or LMS environments.
