Dear CALLeagues,

I hope September has brought you a smooth return — whether that means back to school, back to the courts, or simply back to the rhythm of the fall season.

You Executive Board has had an exceptionally busy few weeks managing the transition of our National Office operations. As many of you will have seen from the recent email to membership, we are pleased to share that Our Executive Director (OED) was recently selected to manage CALL/ACBD's National Office, and the transition from Redstone to OED is underway.

This transition followed a competitive call for tenders, which was initiated after hearing concerns from members at our annual meetings about the increased expenses associated with our association management company. Launching a formal bidding process was, in our view, a matter of good governance, and the evaluation was carried out by a dedicated subcommittee of current and former Executive Board members.

We want to once again express our sincere gratitude to Redstone for their years of dedicated service to CALL/ACBD. Their support since 2019 has been an important part of our story, and we are thankful for everything they contributed.

We are truly looking forward to our new collaboration with OED, which we believe will bring CALL/ACBD forward to a new level — particularly when it comes to strengthening our internal and external communications.

As always, I want to remind you that members are welcome to attend our monthly Executive Board meetings. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any member of the Board if you have questions or ideas to share.

Chères et chers collègues,

J’espère que le mois de septembre vous a permis de reprendre un rythme harmonieux, que ce soit pour le retour en classe, au tribunal ou simplement à la routine de la saison automnale.

Votre conseil d’administration a connu des semaines particulièrement chargées en gérant la transition des opérations de notre bureau national. Comme plusieurs d’entre vous l’ont appris dans le courriel récemment envoyé aux membres, nous sommes heureux et heureuses d’annoncer que Votre Directeur général (VDG) a été sélectionné pour gérer le bureau national de l’ACBD/CALL. La transition entre Redstone et VDG est actuellement en cours.

Cette transition fait suite à un appel d’offres compétitif, lancé après avoir pris en compte les préoccupations exprimées par les membres lors de nos assemblées annuelles concernant l’augmentation des coûts associés à notre société de gestion d’association. Le lancement d’un processus d’appel d’offres formel nous est apparu comme une mesure de saine gouvernance, et l’évaluation a été réalisée par un sous-comité dédié, composé de membres actuel.le.s et ancien.ne.s du conseil d’administration.

Nous souhaitons, une fois de plus, exprimer notre sincère gratitude à Redstone pour ses années de service dévoué envers l’ACBD/CALL. Leur soutien depuis 2019 a joué un rôle important dans notre parcours, et nous leur sommes reconnaissant.e.s pour tout ce qu’ils ont apporté.

Nous avons très hâte de collaborer avec VDG, et nous croyons fermement que ce partenariat permettra à l’ACBD/CALL d’atteindre un nouveau niveau, notamment en renforçant nos communications internes et externes.
