About the Speakers
Theresa Leitch, (B.Sc., L.L.B.), is LIRN Inc.’s inaugural Managing Director.
Early in her career, Theresa practiced municipal law as both a litigator and a solicitor. After leaving the practice of law, she served in positions in law firm and organizational management, knowledge management, continuing professional development and project management of strategic initiatives.
Throughout her career she has developed a superior understanding of the legal information and knowledge needs of the profession. She has demonstrated a collaborative approach to leadership and expertise as a communicator and relationship-builder, bringing vision and creativity to her work. In the Managing Director role, Theresa is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of LIRN, including administration of funding to county law libraries, creation and implementation of appropriate business and operational protocols to support LIRN, establishing collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and governance, legal and other compliance obligations.
When she’s not managing and directing, Theresa loves singing with her punk rock choir, and has performed at such storied Toronto venues as the Horseshoe Tavern and the Bovine.
Hannah Rosborough (BEd, MLIS, LLM) is the Instruction & Scholarly Communications Librarian at the Sir James Dunn Law Library, Schulich School of Law. She teaches legal research, supports faculty scholarship, and manages the law school's institutional research repository and research profile. Her research interests are the future of legal information, innovation in legal research, promoting free access to the law, and legal citation. She is currently focused on research concerning the ethical and pedagogical implications of generative artificial intelligence in legal education. She has actively contributed to CALL/ACBD through a variety of roles over the years, including Member-at-Large, SIG Chair, and Committee member. She is currently a Co-Chair of the Joint CALL/ACBD, TALL & VALL Salary Survey Committee.
